Example Schedule | On-Ice Curriculum

boy in sandBOYS SESSION
25th Year!

The great camp ratio is one staff member per five campers! Coach Woog sets the curriculum, organizes the ice sessions and takes the ice with the campers. Fundamental skills of skating, stickhandling, shooting, passing and receiving are stressed. Nightly fun, high-tempo scrimmages will challenge every camper. Our instructors often take time to scrimmage and play with the players. Can you imagine converting a Ryan Stoa pass, stickhandling around Jordan Schroeder orJay Barriball or how about slipping a backhand past Alex Kangas?

boy skatingCampers are on the rink approximately four hours per day. They start with a warm-up skate Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. Daily sessions begin at 8:00 a.m. and finish around 9:00 p.m. An end of the week game will be played Friday evening.

During the regular hockey camp weeks, campers may also try their hand at golf or horseback riding for a reduced fee. One of our favorite activities is in-line hockey. The blacktop rink is marked and ready for some exciting games and outdoor tournaments.

Located next to the arena site is a grass athletic field ready for lacrosse, soccer, football, softball and a host of other activities.

boys playing hockeyAccommodations are at Breezy Point Sports Complex’s Lodge located directly adjacent to the rink. The air-conditioned Lodge houses a kitchen, cafeteria, weight training room, classroom, lounge area and video arcade. It has four beds per room, accommodates 100 campers, counselors and coaches. Breezy Point Resort offers on-site security personnel and will be staffed 24 hours a day. Each day, campers will enjoy three balanced, nutritious meals. Safety and the well-being of our campers have the highest priority. Medical personnel keep campers healthy and ready for daily action. When near the lakes or pool, campers wear life-jackets and when mountain biking, helmets are required. Most of our staff and counselors are college students, players and school-teachers and they supervise all camp activities. Lights-out is at 10:30 p.m. to ensure campers will be fresh each day.
